Even if that is a badge holder, it's face down.. he's not in uniform (clearly)... why does it matter if he took nude photos?
As long as what he does isn't while on duty or breaking laws... it shouldn't matter.
We expect them to live up to a higher standard, and most do. But they are also human.... and make dumb decisions. Obviously sharing these with whoever he did was a poor decision and he's learning that real fast. Slandering him isn't going to change it or fix it....
I really wish you people would look up the definition of libel and slander. You experts just seem to throw it out and use whenever you don't like something I post.
It does matter because he is bound by a code of ethics that he swore to. This is way over the moral fitness standard. The reason these matter is because of the recipient. They are also just plain wrong.
slan·der [slan-der] Show IPA –noun 1. defamation; calumny: rumors full of slander. 2. a malicious, false, and defamatory statement or report: a slander against his good name. 3. Law . defamation by oral utterance rather than by writing, pictures, etc.
Thank you Benton Crusader. Albany Police has been trying to cover this up for months. You are not the only news agency that has possession of the pictures.
The Benton Crusader is a freaking joke. This Rose guy is human like anyone else. Who, in this date and time, has not sent a nude or somewhat nude photo to a willing recipient? The back stabbing female in this case was obviously the wrong person to send a nude pic to...even though she wanted it to begin with. They are both adults participating in an adult, non-criminal activity. So just because he is a cop means he can't have a life? Even an adult one? Really? That is completley obsurd. Morals and ethics are questioned in this. What idiot would bring his morals and ethics into this?? He sent a picture of himself to a girl who wanted it. SO WHAT!!! That makes him a corrupt cop?? You are a freaking idiot. God forbid any officers of the law send a naked pic to their wife or girlfriend.... Oh no!! We shouldn't be looking at Rose. We should be looking at the morals and ethics of the dumb Bit-- that shared them in the first place. Without his permission.
The mentality of the police and their supporters. This post is exactly why so many cops are in trouble all of the time. They think they are above the law and better than everyone else and that they should be treated differently because they are cops.
Oh, by the way, I know a lot of people who have enough common sense not to put nude pictures of themselves out there. In fact, I would say the norm is NOT putting your naked self out there. Maybe I am just old fashioned?
The real issue isn't that he sent nude photos of himself; it's that he did it while on duty. I really don't care about what he does in his free time but if he had been doing his job instead of taking pictures of himself, there might have been one less drunk driver or one less crime committed. On a side note, Officer Rose's ethics and morals should be called into question since he was the reporting officer who turned in his once best friend for a 4th party hearsay story of sexual nature regarding former Officer Rick Hawley. Do you really think Officer Rose's report based on gossip should have been taken serious considering his history of lying, cheating and official misconduct (sexting while at work and losing his duty weapon at a party amongst other things)
I used to know Anthony. All I will say is thank you for sharing with the world his true character. It is about time. Honestly, I am surprised he has been able to be a cop as long as he has.
I knew Rose personally and witnessed his misconduct while he was on duty many times...this story is just the tip of the iceberg. I hope the investigation continues to expose his lack of ethics and immorality.

ReplyDeleteIsn't this the same cop who lost his gun at a "Pimps and Hoes" party off duty? Seems like APD minimized that also.

Maybe the police union would shed some light on the matter. The papers should ask!
