As Oregon State Police detectives continued to listen to Albany police officer Michael Hudgins go on about corruption and misconduct in the police department, Hudgins dropped a bombshell. He tells the detectives, "I know when another officer(s), they go down to Vegas (Las Vegas), they openly brag, "Oh, dude, I fingered this girl right in her crotch, sniffed the fingers." Security came in. They looked at the video and the go, "Look, you guys did do it." Everybody knows it at the PD."
What happened is that Officer Dezi Meza was getting married and Meza, and Officers Alex (Buddy) Johnson, Nathan Hull, and Juston Alexander went to Las Vegas for Meza's bachelor party. This was the last weekend of July 2010. They went to the Coyote Ugly club and were watching the dancers. Apparently, this is more like a gentleman's club and not a strip club. Juston Alexander got close to one of the dancers and was able to grab her in the crotch area. The dancer was, understandably, distressed by this and asked security to throw the party out.
Security came in and the group identified themsleves as police officer's and denied assaulting the dancer. They were then taken in the back and shown the video of them, in fact, doing what they were accused of, Alexander assaulting the dancer.
The group then returned to Albany and openly bragged about their Las Vegas exploits to other officer's within the department. At least seven other APD officer's heard them bragging at a party a month or so later.
Back to Hudgins interview, Hudgins states that the Albany police hierarchy was indifferent to the incident, he states, "They were like, Oh well, it happened in another state. Has nothing to do with us."
Hudgins also makes the statement that "Corruption is when the police administration turns a blind eye to criminal activity." I could not have said it better myself.
I have at least two more incident involving Alexander that I am looking into and will report on those when I confirm the information.
Well well well, the truth is finally coming out. I feel sorry for the other cops working there having to deal with all the corruption
ReplyDeleteI'm new to your page, and I am just wondering where you get the information you post here, and how you verify that it is credible.
ReplyDeleteEver heard of the blue shield of silence? Well hope you never get pulled over in Albany....they are gunning for you.......heads up!
ReplyDeleteEverything you are saying is true... and people have known it, but were afraid to talk about it... I can not wait to see see the LVMPD report.
ReplyDeleteits not credible..... its an anonymous informant who hears a rumor and spreads gossip as the truth!!!
ReplyDeleteWhere there is smoke there is fire... look into them more!
ReplyDeleteIt is sad that it comes down to this for anything to get done in Albany. Why does the city government allow this behavior to continue? Why do they sit idol or motionless and allow these officers to do what ever they want. If they would just hold them accountable ad not turn a blind eye to it all.
ReplyDeleteWhy does it take so few cops to sully the good names and badges of so many?
If this is the officer Juston Alexander from Albany Or. I think your speaking of....I find this seriously unbelievable, a TOTAL rumor and completely misconstrued.I have known this gentleman since highchool this is WAY out of his personality.I find it very sad that we can attack someone like this on the internet and it is taken as a fact.If it is true....let the law deal with it, I am positive it is rumor snd hearsay.I feel bad if this ugly untruthfulness has bleed into his homelife. We should be ashamed.
ReplyDeleteAnd now my comment needs approval before posting?....that sounds like an agenda? Is this not just a blog?
ReplyDeleteYou do need approval. It has been that way for three years. As long as comments are on topic and not a slam fest against me or the blog I publish them. I try to be fair and even post some that are mostly on topic with a few slams on me.
ReplyDeleteThe comments got out of control because some people are little babies. I had to implement this policy due to that.
But yet you chose to post my comment on the approval?...But not my comments on Officer Alexander's character? Was the topic in question not on his character? It seemed to be to me.But the "Crusader" chose not to post my opinon on him personally?
ReplyDeleteI was gone for the last part of next week. I am now just catching up. Alexander was part of the misconduct and in fact there were some rather serious allegations against him specifically that I chose not to post at this time.
ReplyDeleteI understand policy. I did not feel like I was "slamming" the "Crusader" I was merely offering my opinions on the accused. As I said my opinion for Alexander was not posted but it was "pending for approval"....but yet you say I "need no approval?". I have tried my best to "stay on topic" as you have stated. I feel no need to "slam fest against me (you)" I just feel very strongly on this topic and wish to be included.
ReplyDeleteYou are now included!
ReplyDeleteThat should have been last part of last week.
ReplyDeleteThank You "Crusader" Writer. I appreciate it.
